Team Up: share your PCS checklist with your partner.
A PCS — your permanent change of station move — is one move. Boris used to treat it like two. One of you booked the hotel. The other one had no way of knowing. Team Up puts you both on the same list, and neither of you makes an account to get it.
It is out now, in the free update. Open You, then Team Up.
Orders carry one name. The move belongs to the whole family.
One of you is doing in-processing all day. The other is finding a house, chasing paperwork and waiting on the movers — then whatever else the household runs on: a school, a vet, a second car. That second person is doing half the move, often more. Team Up connects two phones, because two people carry the list.
The phone call Team Up deletes.
You are at the housing office. You do not know if the car got registered yesterday. So you text. They are in a briefing. You wait. That is the call this replaces.
I’ll do it
Tap a task and it is yours. Your phone shows it as Mine; theirs shows Theirs · tap to take — either of you can hand it over without a word.
Mine, or Nobody’s yet
The list filters to Mine for your own morning, and to Nobody’s yet when you want to see what neither of you has picked up.
One set of answers
Boris keeps one set of household answers for the two of you, so your two lists cannot drift into different moves. Both of you tick and untick everything. No score, no history, no count of who did more.
Setting it up.
About as long as opening the camera. It all lives under You → Team Up — you can stop sharing there too, any time.
One of you shows a code
Both phones need Boris first. It is free on both stores. Then open You, tap Team Up, then tap "Show my code."
The other one scans it
On the other phone, open You, tap Team Up, then "Join my partner's list," and point it at the code. Two iPhones, two Androids, or one of each: all three pair the same way.
Both phones show the same list
Everything you already ticked off goes over. After that, one tick shows on both phones.
Boris passes a sealed envelope between your two phones — and burns it on delivery.
It is sealed on your phone and opened on your partner’s. We can’t read what’s inside, and there’s no account tying it to you.
Boris keeps your answers on your phone. No account. No personal tracking. If you pair two phones in your household, your checklist travels between them in a sealed envelope and is deleted on arrival.
Exactly what travels, and what it does not, is written out in full on the privacy page.
What Team Up will not do.
Some of this is missing on purpose. It would cost the privacy you installed Boris for. It stays missing.
No notifications
Their tick shows up next time you open Boris. Nothing buzzes. Nothing needs to know which phone is yours.
Two people, not a group
Two phones working one move. No group thread, no third phone, and no chat. Boris is not a messaging app.
Not a backup
Lose the phone and you lose the list on it. Boris was never a backup.
Offered once
Rather work alone? Close it. Boris never brings it up again.
Get Boris on both phones.
Team Up is out now. Install Boris on both phones and pair them from You → Team Up. Free on iPhone and Android — two iPhones, two Androids, or one of each all work together. No account either way. See what else Boris does or read quick, sourced answers.
